Do you have a high turnover?
The number one reason synonymously across the boar is the lack of focus on purpose.
Discovering your purpose brings out the colours of life. Purpose always produces passion.
Everyone’s life is driven by something. Here’s a hint. Your purpose is the thing you think most about. Some people are driven by guilt, resentment, possession, need for approval, money, status… all of which lead to a dead end.
When someone leaves an organization, they often seek purpose somewhere else. Yes, they will tell you it’s because of XYZ, but the reality, we are all seeking Purpose, but most of us don’t even have an awareness of it. So it’s like, Nah, I leaving the organization because I will be able to make more money. To learn more, money didn’t fill the emptiness you feel in your heart.
I deal with this conversation regularly. People chase possessions when, in reality seeking purpose.
It’s a life in motion without meaning.
Just because you may have the organizational or purpose mission statement on the wall, it doesn’t mean that’s what you live by. We all know there’s a gap in the marketplace between knowing and doing. Well, I guess that’s why LMI exists. Shameless plug 😂
If you don’t know your purpose, that’s not motivating you. Oh yeah… I am not just “helping people.” Most common answer… Lol
Future leaders need to have a solid emotional connection with the organization they associate with. The risk if not? Well it’s pretty obvious… they will quite..
So let me ask you, what is your personal purpose? Not your mission, Not your vision, but your purpose.
