People in this category are organised, effective and efficient. Typically, they operate at a high level and consistently achieve their business goals. Others look to them for advice and as a role model.
Be careful; don't let the spare time you have on your hands become filled with pointless meetings or non-productive habits. Rather use it wisely to improve yourself further.
You are comfortably on the road towards being a Total Leader®. We suggest that you consider enrolling in one of our other programs to develop yourself further and to utilise more of your potential.

Your score of [[Score]] places you in the medium personal productivity category.

This score is typical of someone with some good personal effectiveness traits, but perhaps lacking in consistency when it comes to using them. Individuals in this category typically spend time planning and organising their day on several days in the week, but not every day. Perhaps when "the pressure is on" the feeling is that it is better to just get into the work rather than wasting time planning. In this category people find that it is difficult to complete all the items on their list and that any plan is subject to complete change during a typical day.
People in the medium category, often find that while delegation is worthwhile and important, it is quicker to just do a task on occasion as the number of questions and errors from other members of the team tend to be more time consuming than the task itself.
People in this category are reasonably happy with their daily schedule but have a nagging feeling that things could be better.

Tips for improvement.
With a score in the medium category we suggest enrolling on our Effective Personal Productivity program. This will allow you to achieve more of your potential and build on the good habits and traits already evident. In the meantime try some of these strategies:
  • Plan your day - every day, not just some days
  • Take time out to prepare and plan for delegation - don't dump
  • Make appointments with yourself - and keep them
  • Identify the source of and then act to reduce interruptions
  • Turn off all email notifications and set regular times to check mail
  • Group similar tasks for completion at the same time
  • Identify some areas where you can improve your own performance and set goals in that area

People with scores in this category normally feel under pressure frequently and rarely meet deadlines without spending a lot of additional time at work. Typically people with low scores will bring a lot of work home in addition to working long hours in the office.
In day-to-day work, important items may "fall through the cracks" or other workers will ask about missing items. In severe cases, people with low productivity assessment scores are viewed as a "busy fool" or "headless chicken". In other words, someone that is in almost constant motion but making little progress and find it difficult to spend unbroken time working on important tasks and/or projects as other people make demands on their time.
People in the low category of this assessment are rarely satisfied with their daily schedule and often feel high levels of negative stress.

Tips for improvement.
For someone in the low category of this assessment we recommend enrolling in a formal, results driven personal productivity improvement program. Naturally we believe ours to be the best and would love to hear from you. In the meantime here are some tips to improve your time management:
  • Take five to ten minutes to decide on your priorities for the day every day
  • Use only one system for appointments and commitments
  • Make appointments with yourself - and keep them
  • Identify the source of and then act to reduce interruptions
  • Locate the OFF switch on your mobile phone and use it
  • Use "Do Not Disturb" button and voicemail
  • Turn off all email notifications
  • Group similar tasks for completion at the same time
Always Never
I am satisfied with the number of hours I work each week.
I make a written list of what I intend to do each day and I keep a record that shows whether or not I complete my daily tasks.
I have a diary/organiser to record appointments and tasks I intend to accomplish in the future.
I assign time limits to the items on my lists.
I never find myself spending more than two minutes looking for something I need.
I organize related types of tasks to be accomplished in specific blocks of time? (Examples: grouping telephone calls and handling e-mail, reading mail, answering correspondence).
I set aside a certain block of time every day or several times a week for uninterrupted creative activity.
I regularly delegate tasks to others in my team and when I delegate a task, I give adequate instructions so that it will be done well.
I make effective use of travel time such a commuting to work, driving to appointments, etc.
I arrange regular times to answer questions for team members.
