How do you know how good you are at your job? When a researcher asked people about their driving skills 93% of people put themselves in the top 50% of drivers (Svensen, 1981). Obviously everyone cannot be a better driver than everyone else, but we think we are. Most executives would assume their ability to lead, manage, and communicate is higher than the average manager.
